At 11:00a.m. we arrived at Coláiste Acla hall in Dú Éige to play a match against Dooagh. We went into the back classroom and we got ready. Sáile was on a team with us. We walked out into the hall and started practising. A few minutes later Mr. Kilbane called us over to tell us to do our best. Then Mr. Joyce blew the whistle and explained to us what we could do and couldn’t do.
Once again he blew the whistle and we got into our starting positions. Rebecca and Merin we in backs and Tiffany and Hannah were in forwards. Shauna was the goalie. Roisín, Ava, Molly and Elena were our super subs.
Unfortunately when Mr. Joyce blew the whistle Dooagh had beaten us with a score of three goals to nil.

On a bitter cold and freezing day, the girls’ cúilí took place in Dú Éige. We were paired with Sáile. We arrived with smiles on our faces and as we walked into the hall we gained nervousness. Our second match took place at 11:30a.m. We played Tóin re Gaoith.
In the first two minutes we scored two goals. Our goalie Elena saved every shot they took at her. She did very well and saved a powerful free. With our two forwards Rebecca and Hannah, we managed to score two early goals. Our two backs Tiffany and Merin managed to help our goalie.
With the team’s courage and spirit we won the match, two goals to nil. It was a fun day and we went home with smiles on our faces.
